Nice but old

Nice place, it looks like a small village

The rooms are a bit old and with two single beds instead of double bed. The restaurant is always the same, same breakfast every day

Another great holiday at THB Tropical Island!

The complex is beautifully laid out, with lots of green space and plenty of meandering pathways to stroll along. I enjoyed ambling around and visiting the Cactus Garden, tucked away in a quiet corner of the complex. The pool areas are very pleasant and were not too crowded when we visited (Easter 2024). The pool bar is a lovely place to sit and enjoy a drink or snack. The staff are great, friendly and efficient. The complex is spotlessly clean, with staff constantly tidying up. And speaking of staff, every single person we met was friendly and greeted us. They made us feel truly welcome. The accommodation (1 bed pool view apartment) was great. The apartment was what you expect from a 1 bed holiday apartment and every one of our party of 3 was comfortable for the 10 days we stayed, We were missing a toaster and reception had brand new one delivered in minutes, The location of the complex is roughly a 10 minute easy walk to the town of Playa Blanca - there is a back gate into the complex and this is the quickest way to get to town (key available for €10 deposit at reception). Playa Blanca is a nice laid back town with mostly restaurants, along the front, and shops behind. There is also a port where you can get the ferry to nearly Fuerteventura (a lovely day trip, recommended). The staff everywhere are very nice and accommodating, extending that feeling of welcome. Busses are readily available should you wish to visit other towns on the island- and an this point I'd like to give a shout out to the cafe inside the bus station who serve the best coffee (Americano) in town (and the cheapest!). I took a 1/2 day South Island bus tour to visit the Timanfaya National Park (Volcano and Camel Ride) and I'd really recommend taking a tour rather than going in your own car- the queue for private cars to get it was horrifying!! The tour busses get to skip this queue :)

The only suggestion I can make would be to have some kind of shade on the terrace - it can get quite hot and there is no escape from the sun. Even a table with a parasol would be nice, Otherwise no complaints :)

Well laid out; spacious, clean. Staff courteous and friendly. The hotel was doing well to be environmentally friendly; all apartment blocks had recycling areas.

The gym equipment could do with an upgrade but overall the hotel was lovely and great for families.

Great stay

Had really great stay at this resort, and we will definitely be back. Receptionist was super kind to us and we felt welcome. Good food and options in their buffet restaurant, free drinks with loads of alcohol, game room was fun!

Pros: Clean, comfortable room Towels changed regularly Beautifully maintained grounds with plants and flowers around each apartment block Each apartment block has its own pool, somewhat protected by the wind Low-rise 2-storey apartments only Bike rental on site Gym Small supermarket on site, open till 11pm

Cons: Food very low quality, and largely unhealthy (fried foods, processed cheese), unsuitable for vegetarians No barista coffee available anywhere in the resort. Also UHT milk used. Gym opens at 10am Pools open 10am till 6pm 20+ minute walk into town (nowhere to eat any closer)

I would definitely come back, perfect place for children and close to the beach.

I stayed there during the Easter holidays so it was busy, however it was still very pleasant, enough space at the pools and restaurant (a couple of times waited a few minutes to be seated). Food (we only have breakfast) was good, you could find everything you would expect in a buffet.

The room could have been better cleaned, particularly the bathroom (but as said, it was peak time).

Stunning hotel, great location, could do with some work on food and entertainment

Beautiful hotel with so many pools to choose from, kept immaculately clean by the hard working staff that can’t do enough to help.

Buffet restaurant is not big enough to cater for the number of guests and I went out of season I can’t imagine what it would be like in peak season. Night time entertainment was shocking.

Great Hotel but could do some improvements

Spacious, holiday vibes, room was Big, nice and clean

The beds, they were twin beds put together. I had a special request for the room, I expected rose petals and swan towels but didn't get that. I only received a bottle of white wine and i dont drink. The Tv's need to be updated so you can watch youtube and netflix. I had troubles connecting to the Wi-Fi The spa: the jacuzzi is cold to warm, it isnt Hot as youd normally expect and the spa pool is cold too. In order to enjoy the spa pool, you need to jump into the cold pool in the middle.

Very Good

Great for families with the pools and waterpark.

Did not like the gates were open to the pool areas throught the day to the front of the complex near the reception area. Anyone could walk onto the complex. The orange slide in the waterpark really needs something soft at the bottom of it. My grandson slide of the end of the slide onto the rough concrete.

Pleasant experience, would have no problem to stay again.

Very good food choices. Well kept grounds. Good location, short walk to the beach.

Lighting in the main restaurant is so bright. Feels more like operating theatre. No wine glasses in the apartment, and two wine openers! Ants in the apartment. Tired old bathroom.

Breakfast was good - lots of choice Location is a little too far out - quite a walk to get to either the marina or the harbour side of the resort . Room was a good size - beds comfy - clean towels every day .

Loved the choice of pools. There are so many so none are crowded. All staff very friendly and helpful.

We had bed and breakfast so can only speak re breakfast. It was ok what you’d expect. Although eggs are fried to order and pancakes made to order. The lady on this station was very efficient and friendly

Wonderful

Pool areas were amazing and we loved the fact that there were adults only pools.

The kitchen didn't have any cleaning supplies, we understand it's a hotel, but if you have sink and dishes in apartment, you should provide something to clean it.

Perfect place ! Ideal for families

Very nice place, beautiful gardens, lots of pools. Lots of space even with a full hotel, very calm, very nice buildings and large rooms Good buffets and possibility to eats small things not too expensive at the pool bar

The dome where the animations take place was too noisy. The water of the main pool (with the animations) is very cold. Fortunately, this is not the case for the others pools
